Teaching Myself to Tattoo

I taught myself how to tattoo, and surprisingly, it came pretty naturally. I’ve always had a steady hand from years of drawing, painting, and working on detailed art, so that part clicked right away. Once I got the feel for the machine and how the needle moves with the skin, it just made sense.

I practiced (a lot), learned through trial and error, and paid close attention to technique, hygiene, and skin types. It’s a whole different kind of art—way more permanent and personal—and I love that challenge. Every tattoo is a collaboration, and being able to bring someone’s idea to life in ink is something I never get tired of.
